We are sad to report the death of  a true "service above self" Rotarian,  Rev.William H, Murdoch, President of the Damariscotta-Newcastle Rotary from 1981-1982 and a Paul Harris Fellow. He and his wife Jane had been very active in the community and in Rotary for many years. We now will greatly miss both of their smiles, gentle nature and friendship. Wilt Jones
Sad News from St. Andrews Episcopal Church

I am sad to share the news with you that the Rev. Bill Murdoch died this morning at Miles Hospital. He was alert and in good spirits. He was chatting with a doctor who was giving him a scan. He told her how he was once a stockbroker and became an Episcopal priest and shared how close he was with his family and how much they loved each other. He then said that he was feeling very hot. The doctor went to adjust the heat in the room and when she returned he had died. I give thanks for this kind, faithful and loving man and I give thanks that his death was peaceful and gentle.

I will be working with the family on the next steps in remembering his life and will let you know when we have more definite plans. Please keep his daughters, Beth and Heather, and his whole family in your prayers. May Bill rest in peace and rise in glory.
The Reverand Dr. Suzannah Rohman
