Claudia, a frequent visitor to the Damariscotta-Newcastle club, joined Rotary in District 7930 in 2004 and transferred her membership to the Brunswick Rotary Club in District 7780, in 2009. She served as Club president during 2013-14 and again in 2018-19. A Multiple Paul Harris Fellow and Sustaining Member, she has a passion for International Service and has written several Global Grants. In service to Rotary, Claudia has traveled to Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Zambia, Kenya and Nigeria.
Claudia has served District 7780 as an Assistant Governor, and on several District Committees including Foundation and Conference planning, as well as Mid-year Dinner and District Assembly.
Claudia’s professional life as a performer and teacher/conductor inspired her to create a community fundraiser called “Hometown Idol” during her tenure in Massachusetts and in Brunswick. Renamed “Midcoast Maine’s Got Talent,” this fund raiser and community event continues to promote the public image of Rotary.
She lives on Bailey Island with her husband Bill, her SUP and her cat, Louie. She is the mother of four children that she dragged from Alaska to New Jersey, North Dakota and Massachusetts. She finds great joy in her six grandchildren.
